engineering tasks

projects.

Position

Performs
a variety of routine
tasks, which should provide
experience and familiarization
with the engineering
staff, methods, practices,
and progress of the company.
Works under close supervision;
receives specific and
detailed instructions
as to required tasks
and results expected.
Applies standard practices
and techniques in specific
situations, adjusts and
correlates data, recognizes
discrepancies in results,
and follows operations
through a series of related
detailed steps or processes.
Usually
assumes no responsibility
for direction of others.
Educational
and Work Experience:
Requires
a bachelor’s
degree in electrical
engineering.

I
Objectives:
- Prepare
and/or interpret design
criteria and scope.
- Prepare
diagrams, schematics
and spreadsheets.
Position
Description: – i.e.
(Duties and Responsibilities)
Involved
in application of
engineering fundamentals
to engineering design.
May select and/or recommend
procedures in design
and prepare preliminary
designs for engineer’s
or lead designer’s
approval.
Carry
out engineering design,
based on fundamentals
of engineering science
and technology, generally
under the direction of
responsible engineers.
Prepare drawings, using
CAD. Plan and organize
drawing production to
support project schedules
and conform to project
scope. Prepare lists,
spreadsheets, and databases
to document information
related to design drawings.
File and archive drawings,
and maintain drawing
files including computer
files, stick files and
vendor drawings. Select
or prepare project standards,
and design to conform.
Review vendor drawings,
and coordinate design
with them. Coordinate
with other disciplines,
project areas, customers,
vendors, and contractors.
May
work independently on
design projects but usually
takes direction from
engineer or lead designer.
Educational
and Work Experience:
- Associate
or Bachelors Degree focusing
on engineering technical
and drafting principles
is desired.
- 1
to 5 years of AutoCAD
and perhaps Microstation
drafting experience with
specific discipline experience.
